DILLARD Family

The Dillard family originated in Marietta, Georgia with the marriage of Raiford and Charlotte Canty Dillard. Charlotte was one of ten children in a large family. The couple had their first child, Jessie Barbara, in Georgia and soon left for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the 1930’s. The family grew to 6 children and then relocated to Detroit, Michigan to begin working in the factories.
